| INFORMATION: While at the station, the investigator was assigned a fraud complaint by phone. The complainant stated that as part of their job duties, they received a phone call from a vendor regarding their account not being paid. The complainant stated that they went back into their records and found that the check had been submitted for payment. The complainant stated that they had investigated the check further and found that the original check had been altered and cashed by someone other than the intended payee. At the time of the report, the suspect remained unidentified. The case remains open pending additional investigation. | ||
