The Senior Edge All-Stars Dance Team from Dancer’s Edge in Dexter has earned a repeat national championship, competing March 13–14, 2026, at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) All-Star Nationals in Orlando, Florida. The team performed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Walt Disney World against top-ranked teams from across the country. UDA is considered one of the premier national dance team competitions.
The team secured first place in the senior premier small pom division and finished third in jazz. Despite graduating all but two members from last year’s championship team, the current roster, averaging 14 years old, delivered a strong performance. Many dancers advanced from the Junior Edge All-Stars and are part of Dancer’s Edge’s competitive program, bringing years of training and experience.
In addition to their national title, the team posted strong results in three UDA regional competitions and is preparing for two more events before the season concludes.
The Senior Edge All-Stars are led by head coaches Alison Martino and Kimberly Sable. The pom routine was choreographed by Jena Davenport and MacKenzie Dubey, while the jazz routine was choreographed by Sable and Martino.
Looking ahead, Dancer’s Edge plans to expand its All-Star program in the 2026–2027 season with the addition of a youth team for dancers in third grade and above. Auditions are scheduled for May 16, 2026. More information is available at www.DextersDancersEdge.com or by email at [email protected].
The team’s continued success points to a promising future as it builds on back-to-back national titles.
