Dexter-Chelsea Road to Close in Lima Township for Resurfacing Work

Dexter-Chelsea Road will be closed beginning Monday, April 27, 2026, for road work in Lima Township.

The closure will affect Dexter-Chelsea Road between Freer Road and Dancer Road as crews from the Washtenaw County Road Commission conduct milling and asphalt resurfacing.

The project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, although the timeline is subject to change depending on weather conditions.

The road will be closed to all through traffic during construction. Local traffic will be maintained on both sides of Fletcher Road; however, the bridge just west of Fletcher Road will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the project.
