Sergel\, based on the teleplay Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. \n◈ SYNOPSIS ◈ Following the closing arguments in a murder trial\, the twelve members of the jury must deliberate\, with a guilty verdict meaning death for the accused\, an inner-city teen. As the dozen jurors try to reach a unanimous decision while sequestered in a room\, one juror casts considerable doubt on elements of the case. Personal issues soon rise to the surface\, and conflict threatens to derail the delicate process that will decide one boy’s fate.

DESCRIPTION:The Dexter Community Band\, now in its 44th season\, will be celebrating the holiday season with traditional favorites\, popular standards\, Broadway and the movies. Director William W. Gourley and the band will be joined by soprano Kristin Hoffman-Peavler\, alto Danielle Augsburger\, tenor John McLaughlin and bass Frank Doherty performing Christmas on Broadway\, Do You Hear What I Hear\, and It’s the Holiday Season\, a lively medley of holiday favorites. The quartet are members of Vocal Arts Ensemble of Ann Arbor. \nThe program also includes a suite from the popular children’s movie The Polar Express\, in which arranger Jerry Brubaker has deftly woven together Believe\, The Polar Express\, When Christmas Comes to Town and Spirit of the Season into a brass section favorite. The band will also play Three Moods of Hanukkah arranged by Lennie Niehaus\, and Jingle Bells Fantasy in which arranger John Wasson takes James Pierpont’s classic tune for a rollicking ride. \nThe DCB concert will include the Christmas Sing-A-Long\, where everyone is encouraged to sing. Audience members are invited to stay for a reception with holiday treats and refreshments after the concert. \n

Now\, we are hosting our fourth year at Pioneer High School on Saturday\, November 8th\, 2025\, at 9:00 AM. \nThis annual fall service project could not happen without the many hands that gather to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere. Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of nature\, while soaking in the calming\, transformative sounds of Crystal singing bowls. Come together in community for a truly unforgettable experience. \nBundle dyeing is the perfect way to start your dye journey and is a simple form of eco-printing. We will be using an array of natural dyestuffs by arranging and rolling botanicals within a 100% silk scarf and then placing it above hot steam. The naturally-occurring pigments within the plants will bind to the textile and create gorgeous dyes and patterns. While our scarves are steaming\, we will enjoy a meditative experience\, being immersed in the soothing sounds of Crystal singing bowls and tuning forks\, enveloping us in calming vibrations and promoting relaxation as sound waves resonate throughout the space around us and within us. \nClick the link for more information.
