Winners will be selected at 2 pm\, but need not be present to win. The Museum’s gift shop will also be open. \nThere will be a delicious Bake sale featuring a variety of baked and canned goods. \nAnd let’s not forget the Second Chance Sale on Saturday\, December 13th!   This will also be at the Dexter Museum\, 3443 Inverness St.\, from 10:oo am to 3:00pm.   Besides handcrafted items\, there will be gift wrapping available to items purchased at the bazaar for a nominal fee. Begun in 2004\, organized by Sandy Hansen\,\na church member\, it continues to be a fund raiser for St. James’ outreach projects. It has steadily\ngrown from 30 kinds of cookies to over 70 varieties to choose from. St. James’ very talented bakers are led by Norma Amrhein\, with help from a host\nof others\, who are busily preparing for your visit.\nAmrhein says “Our cookies are sold by the pound. Proceeds from the Cookie\nWalk go to support church projects\, missions\, and local charities. Please stop by\nand see what we have baked for you.”\nWhile the sale does not begin until 9:30 am\, the Church doors open at 9:00 am.\nThose arriving early will be seated inside the church and given a number\, to insure\ntheir place in line.\nA member church of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan\, St. James’ is an open and\ninclusive church community in downtown Dexter. We meet every Sunday at 9:30\na.m. at 3279 Broad Street.

DESCRIPTION:The Washtenaw County Conservation District and Washtenaw County Water\nResources Materials Management Division are happy to announce they are holding their\n5th Annual Tractor Tire Drive on December 6th from 9am-12pm at Washtenaw Farm\nCouncil Grounds (5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd\, Ann Arbor\, MI 48103). Since its inception\,\nthe drive has collected 100 tons of tires from the agricultural community\, preventing\nthem from leaching chemicals into groundwater\, and reducing the breeding grounds for\nmosquitoes.\nRegistration for the event is required as space is limited and there is a drop off\nmaximum of up to 6 tractor tires or 12 semi tires per operation. Tires left outside of\ndrop off hours may result in the cancellation of future tire drive events. \nIf you are interested in dropping off your large agricultural tires\, you can register\nonline at washtenawcd.org/events or call (734-302-8715) to register by phone.

DESCRIPTION:SANDHILL CRANE TOUR:  4:00 – 6:30 p.m.\, Sunday\, November 16.   Join Michigan Master Naturalist\, Doug Jackson\, to see Sandhill Cranes preparing for their fall migration.  We will car pool from the lower parking lot to view cranes in the fields around the Waterloo Recreation Area.  We’ll then stop at the Haehnle Sanctuary to see the birds coming in to their nighttime roosting area.  Visitors can expect to see some of these magnificent birds at close range.  Bring binoculars and cameras.  Cost: $2/person or $5/family.
