Freeze Watch Issued Until 11AM for Washtenaw County

A Severe Freeze Watch has been issued for southeast Michigan, affecting areas including Saginaw, Shiawassee, Genesee, and others, from Sunday evening through Monday morning, with the potential for sub-freezing temperatures as low as 20 degrees, posing risks to crops, sensitive vegetation, and unprotected plumbing.

* WHAT…For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 33 will
result in frost formation. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 20 possible.

* WHERE…A portion of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN…For the Frost Advisory, from 2 AM to 10 AM EDT Sunday. For
the Freeze Watch, from Sunday evening through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
