NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT

TO THE

CITY OF CHELSEA ZONING ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Chelsea Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing, as the statute provides, for amendment of the City of Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 181). 

The proposed text amendment is being requested by the City of Chelsea Planning Commission to amend the following sections.

Section 3.05: Schedule of Permitted Uses

Section 9.07: [Signs] Downtown (DT) District Regulations

Section 12.04: Final Site Plan

Section 11.12: Voiding or Discontinuance of a Special Use

Section 14.04: Certificate of Occupancy

The zoning text amendment will be considered by the Chelsea Planning Commission on Tuesday, April 21, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Meeting to be held in the City Municipal Building (Council Chambers) located at 311 S. Main Street, Chelsea, MI. A Zoom link will be provided for members of the public who would like to attend remotely.

Signed, written comments concerning the text amendment will be accepted until 4:00pm on August 20, 2024. Comments may be addressed to the Chelsea Planning Commission, 305 S Main St, Suite 100, Chelsea, MI  48118.
