A.R. Brouwer Company, a Dexter based Design/Build, Construction Management and General Contracting firm had several team members and two projects recognized at the annual Builders’ Bash hosted by the Washtenaw Contractors Association.

Rachel Brouwer was named the 2026 Waters Woman in Construction, an award honoring a woman who has made significant contributions to the construction industry. The award recognizes the legacy of former WCA Executive Director, Gretchen Waters.

Jessica Singer was nominated for the Rising Star Award, which recognizes an emerging leader who has demonstrated strong professional growth and significant contributions to the industry within the past five years.

Additionally, two A.R. Brouwer Company projects were featured during the event: Kensington Ridge by Del Webb Amenity Center and the Dexter Senior Center.

The company was selected by Pulte Homes of Michigan, LLC to construct the new resort-style Amenity Center at their Kensington Ridge Development in Milford, Michigan. This ground-up project serves as the central activity hub for more than 600 homeowners.

A.R. Brouwer also collaborated with Dexter Community Schools to construct the new Dexter Senior Center. The project represents the final phase of the Dexter Town Center redevelopment, which included demolition of a former factory, brownfield remediation, and construction of a two-story professional building and the Dexter Wellness Center.

In a press release on the event, the A.R. Brouwer Company congratulated “the entire team and project leadership team for their work on these projects: Project Managers Rachel Brouwer and Kurt Peterson; Superintendent Drew Tech; Vice President of Operations Dave Niswonger; and President/Project Executive Steve Brouwer.”
