The Dexter soccer team has had a rough go of it in SEC Red play and is still looking for its first league win of the season after tough 2-1 loss to Saline last week.
The Dreadnaughts once again gave the Hornets all they could handle, but a rebound off a direct kick found its way into the net to put Saline up 2-1 early in the second half and that would be all the scoring.
Saline took a 1-0 lead six minutes into the game, but the Dreads evened it up with a penalty kick by Tyler Craig tied the game at 1-1 at the 11-minute mark.
It stayed that way until early in the second when the Hornets were awarded a direct kick in the box.
The Dreads goaltender Kyle Gerharter made a diving save on the first kick, but the rebound was deflected into the net for the game winning goal.
Dexter fell to 2-11-1 overall on the season
