The popular used jewelry & purse sale is being held again this year by the Friends of Chelsea District Library (CDL). A fundraiser for the Friends of CDL, this sale helps to fund many of the library’s events and programs throughout the year. Last year the sale raised over $2,000.
“You never know what people will donate–a designer purse worth hundreds, or a cute pair of earrings you never knew you needed,” Friends of CDL Fundraising Chair Jo Goodrich said.
Starting April 1st, the Friends will begin accepting gently used jewelry and purses for donation to the sale. All jewelry is accepted, even broken or mismatched, and used for crafts. Donations can be brought to the front desk at the Chelsea District Library through May 10.
The sale is on June 11, with a rain date scheduled for June 18. Prices will range from $1-$20, and there will be a ‘luxury’ booth with unique and high-end items over $20. Attendees can pay with credit card, check or cash.
