John B. Evans

John B. Evans, age 76, of Dexter, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025.

John was born in Lima, Ohio to parents John and Barbara Evans. He graduated from Shawnee High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Ferris College.

In 1972, John married the love of his life, Debora, in Columbus Grove, Ohio. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Jennifer and Jeff.

John served as Vice President of Manufacturing at BookCrafters in Chelsea, and later worked at Swisher Commercial Real Estate in Ann Arbor. In addition he was proud to serve on the Chelsea Hospital Board of Directors for two terms. He also served on both the  Dexter and Chelsea Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Debora Evans; his children, Jennifer Evans and Jeff (Patty) Evans; his grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Angelo, Nova, and Aria; and his siblings, Cole (Jeannie), Brad (Lisa), Diane, and Nancy (Chris).

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Dexter, 8265 Dexter-Chelsea Rd #1, Dexter, MI 48130.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in John’s memory.
