Lima Twp: Board Meeting Synopsis 12/8/25

Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm. Members present: Supervisor Bill VanRiper, Treasurer Nanette Havens, Clerk Ann Kwaske, Trustee Dale Luick and Trustee Greg McKenzie.

Motion by Luick, supported by Kwaske, to approve the agenda with the addition of Community Appointees under Old Business. All ayes. Motion passed.

Motion by McKenzie, supported Havens, to approve the consent agenda of Minutes of November 10 Regular Meeting, Payroll ($15,931.36) and Accounts Payable ($166,759.08) as submitted.  All ayes.  Motion passed.

Motion by McKenzie, supported by Kwaske, to authorize the Supervisor to sign the revised WAVE 3 year agreement dated December 8, 2025 and to rescind the approval of the previous agreement.  All ayes.  Motion passed.

Motion by Luick, supported by Havens, to re-appoint Duane Luick to the CACA board. 2 ayes, 3 nays.  Motion failed.

Motion by McKenzie, supported by VanRiper, to offer Resolution 25-15 placing a temporary moratorium on approval of data centers and direct the planning commission to investigate adding data centers to the Township Ordinance and also have the Resolution reviewed by the Township Attorney.  Upon a roll call vote, all ayes.  Motion passed.

Motion by Kwaske, supported by VanRiper, to approve purchase of blinds for the 3 office windows at a price not to exceed $900.  4 ayes, 1 nay.  Motion passed.

Motion by VanRiper, supported by Kwaske, for the board to schedule a working session in January to discuss creation of policies and procedures for the Township Board and employees.  4 ayes, 1 nay.  Motion passed.

Motion by Havens, supported by Luick, to adjourn.  All ayes.  Motion passed.
