NOTICE OF ADOPTION (Ordinance 26-001)
Notice is also hereby given that the Township Board for Lyndon Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan adopted the regulations regarding fertilizer application within the township as general police power ordinance, as granted by the Michigan Constitution and state statutes. A summary of the Fertilizer Ordinance is as follows:
Section 1. Title:Names the ordinance “Township Fertilizer Ordinance”
Section 2. Definitions: Defines manufactured fertilizer
Section 3. Fertilizer Application; Prohibitions: Provides regulations for when and where manufactured fertilizer can and cannot be used within the township.
Section 4. Violations and Penalty: Creates the process for enforcement of a violation to the ordinance and sets costs associated with the violations.
Section 5. Validity: Declares that the provisions of the ordinance are separate and may be addressed separately in a court of law.
Section 6. Effective Date and Adoption: States that the effective date of the ordinance is 30 days after publication of the ordinance and memorializes the date when the Township Board approved the ordinance.
