Ross McCormick McFadyen, 78, of Pace, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on February 21, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, a private service was held at his residence.
Born on April 23, 1947, in Montreal, Quebec, to Beatrice Dallair, Ross enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18. He proudly served two tours in Vietnam as a point man. Following his honorable discharge, he devoted 35 years to his trade as a Master Electrician.
Ross lived life to the fullest. An avid skydiver, he was a founding member of the professional skydiving team, Them Toadsuckers. He and his team set multiple world records and were recognized by Guinness World Records for their achievements in Canopy Relative Work (CRW). Truly one of a kind, Ross will be remembered for his fearless spirit, quick wit, love for animals, and unwavering devotion to his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine McFadyen. He is survived by his sister, Heather; his children and their spouses, Ross and Karen, Jeremy and Megan, Shane and Rebecca, and Tara and Landon; and his ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ross’s memory to a local animal welfare organization.
