SCIO TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

REGULAR MEETING

FEBRARY 10, 2026, 6:00 pm

Approved the minutes of February 3, 2026 Work Session Meeting.

Budgeted for the master plan update in the 2026-2027 Township budget and to hold a “plan to plan” meeting with the Planning Commission to determine the scope of the master plan update.

Appointed the Clerk and Treasurer as the Township contacts for Standard and Poor’s bond rating inquiries regarding the 2026 Capital Improvement Bonds.

Authorized the expenditure for the purchase of Absentee Ballot materials necessary to mail out the Absentee Ballots for the 2026 State Primary and General Elections.

Adopted Resolution approving amended Michigan Mutual Aid Box Alarm System Association (MI-MABAS) Agreement.

Adopted Resolution to Revise Issued 2026 Township Capital Planning and FYE27 Budget Instructions.

Authorized additional funds for Dr. Steven Wright to cover costs associated with the technical review of hydrogeologic and aquifer capacity issues.

Authorized an additional one-half day of office hours per week for the Township Planner.

Approved the renewal of the township’s medical insurance plan for 2026.

Authorized Partners in Architecture to perform construction administration of the Fire Station 2 project.

Accepted the guaranteed maximum price for construction of Fire Station 2 from Cunningham-Limp.

Adopted Resolution Authorizing the 2026 Capital Improvement Bonds (Limited Tax General Obligation).

Returned the Ember Grove Preliminary PUD Plan application to the Planning Commission for further discussion and recommendation based on comments made during Board of Trustee discussion.

Appointed Trustee Brant and Treasurer Yaple to represent Scio Township in working with the Washtenaw County Brownfield Authority Working Group on the Brownfield TIF application for 5411 Jackson Road.

Approved Zoning Ordinance Amendment #2026-02 conditionally rezoning parcels from R-1, Single-Family Residential to C-3, Highway Commercial.

Approved payment of the bills.
