NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION SCIO TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN

 TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2025

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SCIO TOWNSHIP:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT AN ELECTION WILL BE HELD IN SCIO TOWNSHIP ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2025.

ON ELECTION DAY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2025 THE POLLS WILL BE OPEN FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.:

Precinct 1 Washtenaw Intermediate School District, 1819 S. Wagner Road

Precinct 2 Kiwanis Club, 100 North Staebler Road

Precinct 3 Washtenaw Intermediate School District, 1819 S. Wagner Road

Precinct 4 Polo Fields Main Club House, 5200 Polo Fields Drive

Precinct 5 Scio Farms Community Club House, 6655 Jackson Road

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THE NOVEMBER 4, 2025 SPECIAL ELECTION WILL BE HELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF:

  WASHTENAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT (WISD)

AREA CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROPOSAL

Shall Washtenaw Intermediate School District, Michigan, come under sections 681 to 690 of the Revised School Code, as amended, and establish an area career and technical education program, which is designed to encourage the operation of area career and technical education programs, if the annual property tax levied for this purpose is limited to 1 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2026 to 2035, inclusive; the estimate of the revenue the intermediate school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2026 is approximately $25,020,000 from local property taxes authorized herein?

A sample ballot may be viewed at michigan.gov/vote or at the Scio Township Clerk’s Office.

Absent Voter ballots are available for all elections. Any registered voter may obtain an application for an Absent Voter ballot from the Scio Township Clerk’s Office, or online at the Michigan Voter Information Center at michigan.gov/vote. Voters with disabilities may request an accessible absent voter ballot there online.

Early In-Person voting will not be offered this special election.

Register to vote online at Michigan.gov/vote until October 20, 2025 or in person at the Scio Township Clerk’s Office, 827 N. Zeeb Road up until 8:00 pm on Election Day with proof of residency.

Clerk’s Regular Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Additional weekend hours:

Saturday, October 25, 2025: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Sunday, October 26, 2025: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Saturday, November 1, 2025: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Sunday, November 2, 2025: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

The polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities. Voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. A Voter Accessibility Terminal (VAT) will be available for use by any voter at the Clerk’s office prior to Election Day or at the Polling Place on Election Day.
