Special Weather Statement Issued 12:42PM for Washtenaw County

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee, and Monroe counties, effective from 12:42 PM EDT to 1:45 PM EDT on March 13, 2026, warning of wind gusts exceeding 55 mph that may down tree limbs and displace unsecured objects.

At 1239 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line
extending from near Imlay City to Livonia to Adrian. Movement was
east at 35 mph. A wind gust of 71 mph was observed in Ann Arbor, with
widespread gusts in excess of 55 mph. A High Wind Warning remains in effect
through this evening.

HAZARD…Wind gusts in excess of 55 mph.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Livonia, Troy, Southfield, Romulus, Adrian, Ypsilanti, Tecumseh,
Milan, Canton, and Dearborn around 1245 PM EDT.
Warren, Taylor, Romeo, Sterling Heights, and Detroit Zoo around
1250 PM EDT.
Dundee, Detroit, Deerfield, and Greenfield Village around 1255 PM
EDT.
Clinton Township, Armada, Petersburg, and Macomb Township around
100 PM EDT.
Mount Clemens, Downtown Detroit, Memphis, and Maybee around 105 PM
EDT.
St. Clair Shores, Flat Rock, Richmond, Grosse Pointe, Carleton,
Wyandotte, and Belle Isle around 110 PM EDT.
New Baltimore, Trenton, and Ida around 115 PM EDT.
Monroe around 120 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Anchorville,
Franklin, Commerce, Stony Point, Auburn Hills, Samaria, Harper Woods,
Pleasant Ridge, Westland, and Scofield.
