NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO WEBSTER TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE
Ordinance No. 08-11 & Resolution No. 01-25 as adopted on January 15, 2025
At a special meeting of the Township Board of Webster Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, held at the Webster Township Hall on January 15, 2025, the following resolution was offered by Member Vrsek and supported by Member Savander.
An Ordinance to amend Section 2.10 of Article 2 and Section 13. 25 and 13.60 of Article 13 of Webster Township Zoning Ordinance in order to revise and update certain definitions and standards pertaining to Keeping of Animals.
Webster Township, Washtenaw County, Ordains:
- Article 2, section 2.10: Definitions for the following terms are replaced:
- Animal Shelter
- Household Pet
- Livestock
- Poultry
- Wild or Exotic Animals
- Pasture Land
- Article 2, section 2.10: Definitions for the following term is added:
- Animals For Educational Purposes.
- Article 13, section 13.25: Amended in its entirety. The new section includes the following sub-sections:
- Intent
- Education and Training
- Applicability
- General Prohibitions and Allowances
- General Conformance
- Methodology for Calculation
- Type and Number of Adult Animals Permitted
- Exemption for Young animals
- Animals For Educational Purposes
- Planning Commission Waiver
- Site Standards
- Sale of Animal Products
- Zoning Compliance Permit
- Enforcement
- Article 13, section 13.60.B.(1): Item (c) is added
