Webster Twp: Special Board Meeting Synopsis 9/10/25

SYNOPSIS Webster Township Special Board Meeting – September 10, 2025 – 7:00 p.m.

The Webster Township Special Board Meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Supervisor Mike DeAngelo on September 10, 2025, at Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor Mike DeAngelo; Clerk Tonie Brovont; Treasurer John Scharf; Trustees Dan Munzel, Brant Savander, Shelly Vrsek; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Assessor Bill Sinkule; Office Assistant Alayna Calleja; Attorney Matt Kuschel; and 72 citizens. Trustee Jeff Harms – Absent.

Motion to approve the agenda as presented. Carried.   

Motion to adopt Resolution 25-33 to give permission to apply for ParPlan security grant. Aye – Savander, DeAngelo, Brovont, Munzell & Vresek. Nay – Scharf. Motion passed

Discussion on Draft Private Roads & Shared Driveway Ordinance. A section-by-section discussion took place of Articles 4 and 5, Sections 4.1 through 5.3 of the Draft Private Roads & Shared Driveway Ordinance. Proposed amendments were noted.  A discussion of edits proposed for Section 1 through 3 was postponed until September 16, 2025 at the regular Board of Trustees meeting.

Motion to move Call to Public to immediately follow discussion of Draft Private Roads & Shared Driveway Ordinance. Motion passed.

Discussion of Township Funding Priorities. Further discussion and decision on operating millage levy to take place at regular Board meeting on September 16, 2025.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 p.m. Carried.
