NOTICE OF PUBLICATION BY POSTING

Data Center Moratorium Ordinance

At a Regular Meeting of the York Charter Township Board of Trustees held Tuesday, March 10, 2026, a Data Center Moratorium Ordinance, Ordinance No. 167, was adopted by the Township Board of Trustees after the Ordinance was first presented and considered for 1^st reading by the Board at its meeting on February 10, 2026.   The purpose of the proposed ordinance is to place a 6-month moratorium on zoning review and approval of development and construction of large-scale commercial data centers in the Township.  Publication of the Ordinance No. 167, Data Center Moratorium Ordinance, was made by posting the Ordinance as adopted in the Township Clerk’s office and on the Township’s website, and by publishing this Notice of Posting in the local newspaper.  A copy of Ordinance No. 167 may be inspected and reviewed at the York Township Clerk’s Office, 11560 Stony Creek Road, Milan, MI 48160, and on the Township’s website, www.twp-york.org pursuant to Section 8(3)(b) of the Charter Township Act, being MCL 42.8(3)(b).
