NOTICE OF PUBLICATION BY POSTING

Blight Ordinance

At a Regular Meeting of the York Charter Township Board of Trustees held Tuesday, February 10, 2026, a new Blight Ordinance was presented to the Board of Trustees and introduced for 1^st reading.   Consideration for 2^nd reading and adoption of the Blight Ordinance will be part of the agenda at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Township Board. The purpose of the proposed ordinance is to define and prohibit causes of blight in the Township that may affect or disturb general public peace, health, safety and welfare, and to provide for enforcement of the Ordinance and penalties for maintaining blight in violation of the Ordinance.  Publication of the proposed Ordinance was made by posting a complete copy of the text of the ordinance in the Township Clerk’s office and on the Township’s website, and by publishing this Notice of Posting in the local newspaper.  A copy of the proposed Ordinance may be inspected and reviewed at the York Township Clerk’s Office, 11560 Stony Creek Road, Milan, MI 48160, and on the Township’s website, www.twp-york.org pursuant to Section 8(3)(b) of the Charter Township Act, being MCL 42.8(3)(b).
