Zingerman’s Cornman Farms, located not too far from downtown Dexter, announced it will be closing its doors this October following their final events. Since it opened over a decade ago, this historic farm has been a unique venue for weddings and other celebrations.
The Sun Times News connected with Tabitha Mason, Managing Partner at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms, to ask about this news.
“After more than a decade of weddings and gatherings, my business partner Kieron Hales and I, along with input and support from our investors and Zingerman’s co-founders Ari and Paul, made the decision to conclude this chapter,” Mason said.
She said “this isn’t a decision rooted in any one reason, but rather a thoughtful reflection on where we are as a business and where we want to put our energy moving forward.”
“We’re incredibly proud of what the farm has meant to so many people, from our team to the thousands of guests we’ve welcomed over the years,” said Mason.
During its time, the farm has been rated as one of America’s best wedding venues. It opened in 2014 and 8540 Island Lake Road in Dexter Township became a destination for many from around the state and country.
In the immediate future, they said they will remain fully operational through the end of the season (they are honoring all of their 2026 contracts and are accepting bookings through October 31, 2026).
Mason said they are focused on finishing strong for all of their couples and events.
“We plan to release a variety of summer and fall events to allow people to visit and celebrate with us,” Mason said.
As for what happens after October, Mason said “As for the property, it will be sold, though there aren’t additional details to share at this time.”
She said they just made the announcement, so they are still in the early exploratory stages.
